Frank D. Ragucci

March 9, 1948 — January 22, 2025

Jupiter Florida- Frank D. Ragucci 76, embraced his Lord and Savior on January 22,
2025, surrounded by his loving family, listening to Gabriel’s soundtrack.
Born March 9,1948 in Schenectady New York, Frank was the son of the late
Frank J. Ragucci and Lillian (Cuomo) Ragucci. A lifelong Schenectady resident,
he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1966. He served in the US Army
Reserves from 1966 to 1973.
He went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree from Fulton Montgomery Community
College. Furthering his education he was accepted into the GE Apprentice Program,
graduating as a Class A Tool and Die Maker, starting a 20-year career with General
Electric.
Always looking to further his knowledge he became a certified welder, starting a new
chapter and career path with National Grid, retiring in 2006. Frank was blessed with a
willingness to learn and accomplish, whether it be going to his cousin Louie’s Beauty
School to add hairdresser to his list of accomplishments or working as a bartender. A
talented musician, playing bass guitar, his greatest joy was giving God the glory through
music with, Bobby, John, Sammy and Diane, better known as “Gabriel”. A devoted
father, he encouraged both Gina and Ben to excel in whatever they set their mind to,
attending every hockey, baseball, softball or soccer game, reminding them how they
played the game mattered more than the win.
Retirement gave both him and Marcia the ability to relocate to Jupiter Florida, where
sunshine and ocean breezes greeted them each morning. Not one to sit back idle, he
served on the VDM Condominium Association Board of Directors for several years,
meeting new friends along the way. It also gave him time to indulge in his 2 passions,
Art and Antiques. A gifted artist, his watercolor paintings were displayed in both Florida
and Schenectady, although he would rather gift his art than sell it. He began selling and
collecting Antique Toys in the 80’s selling at all the major shows from here to California,
looking for the rare find.
Frank is survived by the love of his life and wife of 55 years Marcia (Dano), his daughter
Gina (Luby) and his son in law Dave, his son Benjamin and his wife Alicia. He is
survived by his sister Nicola Pidgeon, his niece Joscelyn Clark, and nephew Mark
Pidgeon (Melanie), great niece and nephew Jack and Mia Clark along with several
cousins. He leaves behind many friends both in New York and Florida, his childhood
friend of 70 years Gary Deluke, along with his close friends Art and Pat Delmonico and
Joyce Larocco He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Lillian Ragucci, and his
brother-in-law Frank Pidgeon.
