SCHENECTADY – Ernest Seamans, 60, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Ernie was born in Schenectady on June 2, 1958 a son of the late Robert and Charlotte Lane Seamans. He was a 1976 graduate of Linton High School and worked for Adirondack Beverage in Glenville. Ernie was a kind and caring man, who loved his family. He enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid biker.
Ernie was predeceased by his parents and a sister Bonnie Seamans.
He is survived by his beloved wife Melody Hofer Seamans; daughter, Tina Seamans; stepchildren, Wayland Sousis, Amy Sousis and Theresa (Patrick) DeWitt; siblings, Bob (Rose) Seamans, Donna Turner, Keith (Amy) Seamans, Paula (Ronald) Coffey; grandson, Raesean Seamans and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friend are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
