Eric Villani

COBLESKILL – Eric N. Villani, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 2, 2026, following cardiac arrest.

Born on December 23, 1964, at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, Eric was the son of Harriet Berbary Villani and the late Paul J. Villani.

Eric graduated as the valedictorian of the Duanesburg Jr./Sr. High School Class of 1982 before earning his Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the University at Albany (SUNY Albany). A gifted performer, he appeared in numerous university productions and was a longtime participant in Shakespeare in the Park.

Eric found great fulfillment in his career with Louis Petraccione & Sons Plumbing and Heating, Inc., where he was a loyal, dedicated, and highly valued member of the team for many years. His coworkers became like a family to him, and the friendships they shared meant the world to Eric. He took great pride in his work and deeply appreciated the people he worked alongside each day.

Eric cherished the simple joys of country living. He had a special place in his heart for animals and delighted in caring for the many critters that visited his home

Eric was predeceased by his father Paul J. Villani in 2023.

He is survived by his mother, Harriet Carlone; sister, Tanya Villani both of Bedford, VA; brother, Elliot Villani of Albany; and his many friends and co-workers.

Services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 6 pm, with Br. Ronald McCloskey, PB, officiating, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6.
