Eric J. Malecki

Memphis, TN - Eric Malecki, 62, formerly of Schenectady passed away on September 1, 2021.
Eric was born in Schenectady on November 16, 1958, a son of Casimir R. Malecki and Dorothy E Logsdon Malecki. He honorably served in the US Army from 1978-1982 stationed in Germany. Eric worked many years as an IT Tech for Verizon and most recently for Ricoh. He was an Elvis extremist, visiting Graceland many times while living in Tennessee He was also a big fan of Chuck Norris and Tom Jones. Eric was devoted to his Christian Faith, and a kind and loving man. He was very involved with the United Church of God, where he was a longtime member. Eric had a big heart and would do whatever he could possibly do for someone.
Eric was predeceased by his parent, Casimir and Dorothy Malecki.
He is survived by his daughter, Serena Aldi (Mike, Mikey, Domenico, and Gianna); brother, Daniel Malecki ( Vanessa); sister, Christine Malecki- Kessler; nieces, Rachel Santana, Leanne Kessler, and Misty Robertson; nephew, Brian Malecki; best friend/brother Robert Lachut – they have known each other since elementary and have remained close friends until the present time; many cousins and friends throughout the states.
Services with military honors will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 1 pm at the Gerald BH Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. Those attending are asked to meet on Monday the 25th at the cemetery at 12:45 pm
