Emma Carboni

January 31, 1923 — February 2, 2011

NISKAYUNA- Emma Carboni, 88, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning at her home.
Emma was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Angelo A. and Rose Gabriel Carboni. She was a graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School and worked in several departments at General Electric for over 42 years before retiring in 1985. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
Emma was predeceased by her sister, Mary Carboni and a brother-in-law, Ricardo Benacquista.
Emma is survived by her devoted siblings, Antoinette, Amelia and Olga Carboni, Dorothy Sorrentino and her husband Nicholas, all of Niskayuna and Roselyn Benacquista of Guilderland; nephews, Ralph and Suzanne Sorrentino, Mark and Denise Sorrentino, Gregory and Sherry Sorrentino and Gary Benacquista; nieces, Lisa and David Dobkowski, Kathy and John Kaminsky and Linda and Robert Blake; many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Memorial contributions may be made in Emma’s memory to St. Anthony’s Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
