Emma Jane Butler

ROTTERDAM- Emma Jane Butler, 82, of Princetown Road died Monday at Ellis Health Center after a brief illness.
Emma was born in Middleburgh, NY on July 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Soechtig Nolte. She graduated from Middleburgh High School and RIT, receiving a degree in Chemistry. Emma was a loving and devoted homemaker who greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She worked at the General Electric Company in the gas turbine division, retiring after many years of service. Emma was an accomplished seamstress and was also a motivational speaker for Weight Watchers.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard J. Butler and siblings, Carl Nolte and Dianne Misslinger.
She is survived by her five loving daughters, Patricia Halliburton ( Bud), Debra Scardino (Mario), Laurie Bluitt (Leroy), Rebecca DiMoro (Joseph) and Marcia Lawyer (John); a sister Darlene Bray; grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Jennifer, Cynthia, Brian, Robert, Timothy, Kelly, Aaron, Curtis, Nicholas, James, Tianna, Nathan and Destiny; great-grandchildren, Daisy Jane, Joshua, Peyton, Tyler, Michael and Skyler and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 1 PM at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, with Pastors David Brown and Larry Cornaire officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to our Mother's favorite charity, The Schenectady City Mission, 425 Hamilton St., Schenectady, NY 12305.
