SCHENECTADY - Elizabeth A. DiLorenzo, 96, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Ellis Hospital.
Elizabeth was born on September 24, 1921, in Delaware City, DE, a daughter of the late Richard and Rose (Jameson) Meli. She worked at ALCO for 28 years until it's closing and then obtained a job at Schenectady County Community College, as secretary to the Dean of Students, retiring in 1986. Elizabeth was kind, generous and devoted to her family and her faith.
She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Anthony P. "Slugger" DiLorenzo in 2005.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving children; Mr. & Mrs. Daniel (Adrienne) DiLorenzo, Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Joanne) McCormick, Mr. William (Ingrid) DiLorenzo and her only daughter Antoinette (Toni) Conlin and her husband Tom Conlin Jr. Also survived by her sister, Ms. Louise Meli; several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially her most recent great-granddaughter Antoinette F. Conlin.
Service will be held on Friday at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St. and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.
