Elaine "E" Iovinelli

SCHENECTADY – Elaine T. "E" Iovinelli, 73, entered peacefully into eternal rest after a sudden illness on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Ellis Hospital.
"E", as so passionately know to all, was born in Garfield, NJ on July 18, 1944 a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Kwarta) Chyla. She was a 1962 graduate of Linton High School. E began her career working for the State of New York; and then with Ceridian for over 20 years and most recently with Hexaware as a medical benefits specialist. She enjoyed camping, reading, vacationing in Cape Cod and her monthly card games with dear friends. E was kindhearted, generous and devoted to her family. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion not only to her family but to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved companion of 37 years, Sue Horn; dear friend and father of her children, Alfred Iovinelli; loving daughters, Mary (Scott) Iovinelli-Smith and Phyllis (Mark Matteo) Fazzone; adoring grandchildren, Edward Fazzone, Salvatore (Brittany) Fazzone Mark Matteo, Jr. and Chyla Smith; great-grandson, Gianni Fazzone; siblings, Kenneth Chyla and Carol Monticola.
Services will be held on Saturday at 6 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm.
