Edgar L. 'Moon' Potter

July 10, 1943 — February 23, 2012

BROADALBIN – Edgar L. 'Moon' Potter, III, entered into eternal rest on Thursday.
Moon was born on July 10, 1943 in Troy, the son of the late Edgar and Dolores Moran Potter. He attended Cohoes High School and honorably served in the US Army and Army Reserves. Moon was an independent truck driver and worked most recently for JA Sweet Trucking. He raced stock cars and had a burning desire and love for motorcycles, especially his Harley. He was the founding member of the Over the Hill Gang at the Saw Mill, a fraternal organization supporting area charities. He was a member of the VFW 8690, the American Legion Post 337 and of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his loving sister, Gail Potter Lloyd and her husband Jim, of Clifton, VA; goddaughter, Karre Jones, nephew Jay Lloyd; great nieces, Kailyn and Kamryn Jones; his companion Dawn Wagner and many loyal and loving friends.
Services will be held Sunday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street, at 1 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
