ALBANY – Donald I. Closson, Jr. 79, passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Don was born in Saratoga Springs, the son of Donald and Stella Clark Closson. He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School and honorably served in the US Air Force. Don was employed at the General Electric Company as a machinist, retiring after 38 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and boxing fan; and enjoyed the ponies at Saratoga Race Course.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Caruso Closson, and a sister Irene Dennison.
Don is survived by his children; Donna (Glenn) Brazee, Stephen (Karen Doohan) Closson, Mark (Lisa) Closson, and Christopher (Kristin Bamford) Closson; grandchildren, Nathan, Kelsey, and Colin Brazee, Kristin, Brooke, Gabriella, Marisa, and Noah Closson; siblings, James (Dora) Closson and Linda (Jim) Glockner; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, on Saturday from 2-4 PM
