Dominick Arduini

SCOTIA – Dominick Arduini, 87, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with his loving family at his side.
Dominick was born and educated in Fumone, Province of Frosinone, Italy on November 7, 1929, a son of the late Felice and Enrica Potenziani Arduini. He immigrated to the United States in 1949, and became a US citizen. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dominick became a welding tradesman after graduating from Modern Welding School. He worked for Cushing Stone and Concrete Products; General Electric and lastly for the Schenectady County Highway Department, retiring in 1991 after 37 years of devoted service. He was a passionate golfer; avid bowler; enjoyed gardening, took great pleasure in cooking and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Dominick's legacy left to those he so treasured was one of strength, dedication, love and conviction. He taught by example and lived by what he taught.
He was predeceased by his brother Rolando 'Sisto' Arduini.
Dominick is survived by his beloved wife Teresa Corrado Arduini, whom he married April 25, 1953; his loving children, Vicky (Joseph) Delefano, Cathy Vallee and Michael Arduini; his grandchildren Christopher (Christina) Brion; Jeffrey (Harmony) Brion; Matthew (Caitlin) Brion and Danielle Vallee; great-grandchildren, Dominick, Sebastiano, Nicholas, Corrado Brion and a special delivery on the way; sister-in-law, Aspasia 'Spa' Arduini; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will be held in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.
