SCHENECTADY – Madeline Dolores Williams entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 7, at the tender age of 90, with her loving family at her side.
Dolores was born in Schenectady on June 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Michael A. and Mary (Catuccio) Mastroianni. She was a 1951 graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Dolores’s journey through various career paths reflects her willingness to embrace new opportunities. Starting at the General Electric Company then transitioning to work alongside her family at Michael’s Shoe Repair, for decades, and lastly, as a tax examiner for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, speaks of her dedication to family and her capacity for hard work. Dolores treasured the values of her Italian heritage and the strong work ethic instilled in her, which she passed on to her loving family. She was a fabulous cook and brought countless joy to her family gatherings with her culinary talents. As a breast Cancer survivor, Dolores embraced life fully; she was a woman of great faith; and enjoyed social activities such as playing cards with the St. Paul’s and Mt. Carmel Seniors and engaging in her civic duty as a Poll Watcher for the Board of Elections. A loving, caring, and, generous woman, Dolores embodied the best of family, faith, and community.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Stanley Arthur Williams, Jr., and her brother, Anthony Mastroianni.
Dolores is survived by her loving daughters; Michele (David) Brennan, Jr., Diane McPartlon, and Roberta ‘Bobbie’ (Jeffrey) Albrecht; cherished grandchildren, David (Maegan) Brennan, III, Stephen (Julianne) Brennan, James Peter (Reena) McPartlon, IV, Chelsea McPartlon, Allison Albrecht and her fiancé, Roddy Yagan and Jonathon Albrecht; great-grandchildren; Benjamin, Connor, Ella and Sora Brennan and James Peter ‘JJ’ McPartlon; sister-in-law, Bernadine Mastroianni; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores’s family is grateful to Community Hospice, the Kingsway Community, and Mohawk Ambulance Service, for their compassion, empathy, and respect shown to their beloved mother.
