SCHENECTADY – Dilia Ramirez passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, at age 97. She now rests with our Heavenly Father.
Dilia was born in Colombia, South America. She immigrated to the United States in 1958. Dilia lived her life with strength, dignity and love and shared those virtues with those surrounding her. She was a devoted homemaker, and loved gardening and baking.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina (David) Victor, of New York City and Melba (Neil) Granlees, of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 5th at 5pm at St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Place. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
It is with eternal gratitude that the family would like to thank, Dr. Anthony and Mrs. Mastroianni for the care and support they have given our mom throughout the years. The family also thanks the staff of Gentle Home Health Care and Schenectady Hospice for their care and compassion shown to our mom.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dilia's memory to St. Anthony's Church.
