SCHENECTADY – David Wayne Tuttle, 67, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, with his loving mother at his side.
David was born in Waterville, Maine, a son of Jo an LaJoy Palmer and the late Wayne Wesley Tuttle and Richard Palmer. After high school he entered the US Army where he served as Sergeant in Germany, where he was cited for numerous declarations for his efforts as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. After his government service David drove long haul tractor trailer driver from the East coast to the West Coast for many years.
David was quick witted and had a loud voice; He was a very devoted Catholic Christian, practicing his faith daily through the love he shared; He loved the Lord, Jesus Christ.
He was predeceased by his father and step-father, brother, Timothy Tuttle, stepbrother, Rick Palmer.
David is survived by his mother, Jo an LaJoy Palmer; siblings, Perry Michael Tuttle and his wife Ann, Cynthia Race and her husband Jamie, Jill Hackett, James Tuttle, Brenda Morse and her husband Stanley; a step sister-in-law, Debra Palmer; a aunt and uncle, David and his wife Jeanette LaJoy; 14 grand nieces & nephews, 18 great-grand nieces & nephews, as well as three great, great, great nieces & nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 1 pm.
After the committal there will be an opportunity to break bread with his family at his home.
