BROADALBIN – David J. Mattie, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital.
David was born and educated in Amsterdam. He was the son of Steven Markulis and the late Salvena Perfetti Lasinski. Dave honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a clerk for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for many years. Dave was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, grilling and smoking meats. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, articulate and devoted man.
The Mattie family would like to thank the staff at the Mohawk Valley Dialysis Center for the constant care, concern, compassion and support, not only to Dave, but to his family as well.
He was predeceased by his mother and his beloved wife, Pattie Mattie after 25 years of marriage on July 7, 2015
He is survived by his loving daughters, Kristie Van Hoesen and her husband Kevin, of Amsterdam, Rebecca Catucci,and her wife Cari of Broadalbin and Sharon Graser and her husband Kirk, of Amsterdam; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
