Dariann Teresa Pijanowski

SCHENECTADY – DariAnn Teresa Pijanowski, 62, entered peacefully into eternal peace on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
DariAnn was born in Baltimore, MD on May 7, 1955, a daughter of the late Dr. Walter Joseph and Mary Concetta (Salibeni) Pijanowski. She graduated from Haverling High School; received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mary Washington College in VA; and her Master's degree from the University of Bridgeport. DariAnn whose passion was education, worked as a private tutor and substitute teacher throughout the area before teaching chemistry at Amsterdam High School. She was hard-core into chemistry and biology. Her love of the science's was an inspiration her students. Dari was a kind, loving soul, devoted to her teaching , faith and family, especially her twin nieces, Allison and Elana.
She was predeceased by her parents and an uncle, Francis Salibeni.
DariAnn is survived by her devoted siblings, Dr. Jan Anthony (Carolina) Pijanowski, of WV, Walter Peter (Aury) Pijanowski, of GA and Alex L. (Lisa) Pijanowski, of Niskayuna; her nieces, Allison, Elana, Olivia and Emma Pijanowski; loving aunts, Josephine DiGiuseppe and Nancy Fiacco ; many cousins, colleagues, and friends.
A Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 pm on Monday at St. Joseph's Church, 225 Lafayette St. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Joseph's Church on Monday from 10:15 am until 12:15 pm.
