SCOTIA – Dana L. Blake, 59, passed away on Friday at St. Peter’s Hospital after a long and courageous battle with multiple health issues. She is now at peace, pain free and in the Arms of Jesus. Dana was born in Niskayuna, on January 25, 1965, the daughter of Joseph Delorenzo and Paula Barry. She graduated high school and received her Bachelor’s Degree in medical transcription and was working towards her RN degree, before becoming disabled. Dana was a stay-at-home mom; she was totally devoted to her husband and children. She loved them dearly and created a beautiful and loving home. Dana was a faith-filled woman, who was kind, generous, and funny; she enjoyed crafting, especially crocheting, diamond art, painting, and colored pencil art, and was a lover of all types of animals.
Dana is survived by her parents, Joseph and Paula; her beloved husband of 38 years, 7 months and 1 day, Michael J. Blake, Sr.; her loving children; Meaghan Alessi, Anitamarie Blake, Michael J. Blake, Jr., and BrittneyErin Blake; grandchildren; Kaylee, Ayanna, A-Tyanna, Aniyiah, Harmony, Emeiri and Luca; a brother, Joe DeLorenzo; several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Dana’s family will gather for private services, with Pastor Frank, from Maranatha Ministries United Pentecostal Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Saratoga National on Tuesday, May 7th at 12 noon, relatives and friends are invited to attend.
