GLENVILLE– Concetta Marchesano, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.
Concetta was born and educated in Castello del Matese, Italy, on January 29, 1931 a daughter of the late Anthony and Rosa B'Abbraccio Fevola. She immigrated to the United States in 1954, living in the Bronx and Rockland County, before settling in Schenectady. She married her beloved husband Cosimo on October 11, 1953 and together raised their family. Concetta was a loving and caring woman, her greatest joy was caring for her family's every need. She enjoyed cooking and the fruits of her labor from gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband Cosimo on December 14, 1995, after 42 years of marriage.
Concetta is survived by her loving children, Joseph and Donna Marchesano, of Wernersville, PA, Anthony Marchesano, of Limerick, PA and Rose Leonard, of Glenville; grandchildren, Michael and Heather Leonard and Ernest Marchesano; great-grandson, Anthony Joseph Leonard ; a sister Maria of Italy; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday at 8am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9am . Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home this evening from 5 to 7 pm.
