SCHENECTADY – Concetta Caracciolo Hilton, 82, died Friday at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness.
Concetta was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Isabella Caracciolo. She was a graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School and worked at the General Electric Company for several years. Concetta was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Concetta was predeceased by her beloved husband James Hilton, whom she married on November 21, 1948 and he died on June 8, 2007; her brothers Louis and Frank Caracciolo.
Survivors include her loving children, Carol Doucette and her husband Arthur of Clifton Park; James Hilton and his wife MaryAnn of Schenectady; Michael Hilton and his wife Tonya of Glenville; her devoted grandchildren, David Doucette and his wife Tammy; Michelle Doucette; Christopher Doucette and wife Amy; Leah Hilton and Brian Hilton; great grandchildren Amanda Doucette, Madison Doucette and Isabella Doucette; siblings Elsie Tebbano and her husband Nicholas of Schenectady, Molly Cercone and her husband Ray of Glenville and John Caracciolo of Schenectady; sisters-in-law Millie Caracciolo and Angie Caracciolo both of Schenectady; several nieces and nephews.
The Hilton family would like to thank the staff of the Heritage Home for Women and Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for their compassion and dedication that they demonstrated towards our mother’s care.
Services will be held Monday morning at 8 AM from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 5 PM.
