GLENVILLE - Claudia B. Jenkinson, 88, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital.
Born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Nadler Barrett. Claudia graduated from Nott Terrace High School and dedicated her professional career as a wage reporting supervisor with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia; Claudia was actively involved for years with the DAV Lt. V.O. Fryer, Chapter 88, Auxiliary; and the Italian American Club of Albany. Known for her passion for collecting, Claudia was fondly remembered for her unique treasures; her love for all animals and her remarkable gift for creating exceptional antipasti’s.
Above all, Claudia was a kind, generous, and loving woman, devoted to her family. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John “Jack” Jenkinson, Jr. after 53 years of marriage in 2007; her loving son, John “Jackie” Jenkinson, III, brothers, Frank and Don Barrett.
Claudia is survived by her loving family, whom she cherished deeply and held at the center of her heart; her daughter, Jill (Tim) Parker, Sr., daughter-in-law, Theresa Jenkinson; grandchildren, Timothy (Michele) Parker, Jr., Joshua (Mackenzy) Parker, Sarah Jenkinson (Pete), and Stephen (Kimberly) Jenkinson; great-grandchildren, Mason & Magnolia Parker, and Riley & Hailey Jenkinson; siblings, Sandra Pfaffenbach, Cindy Florio and Mark (Paula) Barrett; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, on Thursday from 4 to 6 pm.
Services will be held on Friday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
