SCHENECTADY- Christina Mastroianni, 92, entered into eternal rest on Friday.
Christina was born in Caiazzo, Province of Caserta, Italy on September 2, 1918, a daughter of Antonio Fazzone and Anna Maria Barbieri. She immigrated to Schenectady in 1966 and was a loving homemaker to her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a woman of great strength and had a fabulous sense of humor. Christina was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
Christina was predeceased by her siblings, Pasquale, Margerita, Govannina and Rosa Fazzone.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Pasquale Mastroianni; loving son Fred and his wife Matilda Mastroianni, of Glenville; adoring grandchildren, Marissa Mastroianni and Michael Mastroianni; niece Maria Giannetti, of Montreal Canada; several cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Christina’s devoted cousin and sister-in-law, Genoveffa Mastroianni for her care, and acts of kindness during her time of need.
Services will be held Friday at 11 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then the St. Anthony’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday morning from 9 to 11 am.
