CLIFTON PARK- Charles H. Williams, 72, died July 23, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital, after a battle with cancer.
He was born in Albany, the son of the late Peter and Bertha Williams. Charlie served in the United States Army and retired from Sinclair & Valentine in Albany.
He is survived by his five children; Charles Jr., Cheryl, John, Jeanette and Mark; a sister, Luella Weaver and her husband Melvin, whom he resided with for many years; a brother Arthur Williams; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
‘Uncle Charlie’ loved camping, fishing, the Mets and a cold beer.
Services will be held Thursday morning at 9 am, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, Schenectady. Interment to follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
