SCHENECTADY - Carmina Zullo, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend of many, peacefully passed away at home, in the company of her family on November 30, 2022. She was 87 years old.
Carmina was born on June 4, 1935, in Alvignano, Province of Caserta, Italy the daughter of Salvatore and Angela Mastroianni. She was married to Pietro Zullo in October of 1960, in Alvignano Italy. She and Pietro established a family, living in multiple countries including Italy, and Switzerland and finally settling in Schenectady, NY. Carmina was a dedicated mother, treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nonna. Carmina loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, and was highly skilled with knitting needles and crochet hooks and enjoyed feeding her beloved cat Bana-fresh Italian pasta.
In addition to her parents, mother Angela and father Salvatore, Carmina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pietro Zullo and her brother, Biaggio Mastroianni.
She is survived by her children; Tino (Gloria) Zullo, of Schenectady and Claudio (Jill) Zullo, of Ballston Lake; granddaughter, Laura Zullo, of NYC; grandson, Forrest Gassman, of St. Paul, MN; siblings, Alberto (Rosa) Mastroianni, Luisa (Biaggio) Civitello and Antonio (Filomena) Mastroianni; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5th at 9 am, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Sunday, December 4th from2 to 5 PM
