Bruce A. Carrara

NISKAYUNA – Bruce A. Carrara, 58, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 after a valiant struggle with his health for many months.
Bruce was born in Utica, a son of Dolores (Serapilio) Carrara and the late Marcel Carrara. Bruce was a 1977 graduate of Niskayuna High School and received his Associates degree from HVCC. He worked as an instructor at BOCES, teaching his master skills in small engine repairs. With his appreciation for mechanics, Bruce was a classic car enthusiast, prized his'64 Thunderbird; and milled around the Schenectady County Airport Museum, with a renewed enthusiasm each time he visited.
He was a kind and generous man; he loved his family, animals and his catholic faith.
Bruce was predeceased by his devoted father, Marcel Carrara on March 20, 2016.
He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Dolores Carrara,; loving brother Mark Carrara and his wife Jane; adoring nephews, Nicholas Carrara, Maurice J. Cousineau and Michael D. Cousineau; aunts, Nadine Vine and Camille Serapilio; and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Rosa Road. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
