GUILDERLAND - Bruce E. Andres, 77, of Velina Drive, passed away on September 18, 2021 after a long illness.
Bruce was born in Albany NY on December 6, 1943 son of the late Edward and Evelyn Allen Andres. He graduated from Guilderland HS, served in the NYS National Guard and retired from New York Telephone in 1993. Avid Golfer, and expert poker player; he enjoyed travel to Atlantic City and Walt Disney World. Devoted fan of the NY Yankees and the Green Bay Packers who also loved his Rock and Roll - from Chuck Berry to Pink Floyd to Def Leppard.
Beloved for his charm and quick wit everywhere, he could dance like Mick Jagger, made any occasion more lively and will be fondly remembered for his humor and ever youthful outlook. Truly the end of an era: he was a man who lived fully, embraced life and enriched many lives with memorable moments.

He was predeceased by his father and his beloved mother; siblings Joan (Andres) Budka; Eddie and Marge Andres and nephew, Keith Andres.
Survived by his children: Sheila D. Andres (David Ditoro); Marianne Clark (Eric) and Devin Andres; his sister Joyce (Frank) Polsinello; and companion Beverly Bushnell. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 23rd at the McKownville United Methodist Church, 1565 Western Avenue in Guilderland, officiated by the Reverend James Bowen.
Relatives and Friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union at No. Jay Streets in Schenectady on Wednesday, the 22nd from 4-7 PM. Burial in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Bruce's memory to the McKownville United Methodist Church or the Mohawk Hudson Human Society at 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands NY 12204.
