NISKAYUNA – Brenda Jean (Abdoo) Bach, 71, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Ellis Hospital, after being stricken at home.
Brenda was born January 14, 1951, in Utica, the daughter of John G. and Susan (Bohanna) Abdoo. She graduated from Utica Free Academy and Schenectady Community College. She located to Schenectady in 1970 and wed her beloved husband Hugo A. Bach, Jr. Brenda was employed by the Golub Corporation until her retirement in 2016. She liked to travel and was fortunate to have taken several cruises over the years. She enjoyed gardening, and reading and participated in both golf and bowling league play; all of which provided Brenda with precious memories of the times spent with family and friends. Brenda was a loving, kind, generous, and soft-spoken woman who devoted herself to her family, friends, and community.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Karen Sue Abdoo.
Brenda leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, Hugo A. Bach, Jr.; loving sons, Jason (Sara) Bach and Adam (Laura) Bach; the lights of her heart, grandsons, Jackson, Cooper, Jurgen, Tristan & Hagan Bach, who lovingly called her Sito; sisters, Joann (Steven) Abel, Mary Helena (John) Cornmire and John (Sheri) Abdoo; sister-in-law, Melody (Gary) Reese and brother-in-law, Raymond (Paulette) Bach; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Monday at 4 pm, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, with Fr. John Provost, officiating. Interment will be held in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral on Monday from 12 noon to 4 pm.
