Beverly “Bev” Ann Carling, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Schenectady, New York on January 3, 1945, to the late Stephen J. and Mary E. Mennillo, Beverly was a woman of kindness, warmth and ambition.
She pursued her education and career with dedication, earning an undergraduate degree before obtaining her Master's in Business Administration from the College of St Rose. Known for her unwavering work ethic, Beverly built a distinguished career in business.
Beverly found great joy in preparing elaborate holiday meals, creating traditions that brought her family together and left lasting memories. In addition to her love for family, she was deeply committed to community service. She served for many years as a dedicated volunteer and treasurer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), offering both her time and heart to a cause she believed in deeply.
She eventually relocated to Chandler, Arizona in 1998 with her beloved husband, George F. Carling, Jr. There, they enjoyed their retirement years together, surrounded by sunshine and the company of their cherished canine companions.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen J. and Mary E. Mennillo and loving husband, George F. Carling, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Bliss; her son, Todd MacDonald; her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Margie Mennillo; and her granddaughter, Taylor Hudson.
A memorial service to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025at 11:00am at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12305, with Reverend John Califano, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:30am. Inurnment will follow at Park View Cemetery.
