SCOTIA – Armand ‘Arnie’ J. Lupi, Jr., 55, passed away on Wednesday at Ellis Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Arnie was born on his sister Linda’s 10th birthday, November 10, 1955 in Schenectady the youngest son of the late Armand and Doris King Lupi.
He worked diligently over his lifetime for the General Electric Company, Schenectady City School District and Central Brown Taxi Service. Arnie will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and kind heart. He made everyone laugh with his jokes, funny stories and fun loving ways. Arnie was a natural athlete he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golf. He also loved visiting the casinos and played many ingenious card games.
Arnie was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Heather Schilling and his canine buddies, Luke and Maxi.
He is survived by his beloved wife whom he married June 16, 1984 Sheila Klepper Lupi; loving siblings, Linda Wells and her husband Harold, of Rotterdam, Bernard Lupi, of Schenectady and Gloria Mulyca and her husband Edward, of Rotterdam; sister-in-law, Arlene Williams; brothers-in-law, Alan and Arthur Klepper; an aunt and uncle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog Swiffer.
Services will be held on Monday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street, then to St. Luke’s Church, State Street, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 pm.
