NISKAYUNA – Antoinette ‘Nettie’ Brunetti, 102, entered into the Arms of the Lord on
Sunday, June 4, 2023, at home, with her loving family at her side.
Nettie was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Salvatore and Stefana Giannelli
Marotta. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School. Nettie worked at Ricitello’s
Restaurant and was a devoted homemaker. She was a faith-filled woman, who lived her
life with love, grace and kindness. Nettie was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony’s
Church; a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart League; and an annual Feasta Worker.
Nettie enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing canasta, for over 60 years with friends and
relatives.
Nettie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Americo ‘Mac’ Brunetti on
September 25, 2011, after 68 years of a blessed marriage; a loving daughter, Dr. Andrée
Miyasaki; siblings, Andrew Marotta, Lucy Zampella, Philomena DiBartlomeo, Theresa
Costanzo, Ann Lawrence and Carrie O’Rourke.
She is survived by her loving and devoted family, children; Bernadatte Counts, and
her husband, David Sargent, and Michael Brunetti and his wife Laura; grandchildren,
David (Kajsa) Counts, Ariane (Nick Ciancetta) Miyasaki and Stefan Counts; great-
grandchildren, Mac Counts, Kepler Ciancetta and Sagan Ciancetta; and many dear
nieces and nephews, to which she was a loving aunt.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home,
501 Union Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Anthony’s
Church. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home
on Monday from 5-7 pm.
