GLENVILLE- Antoinette Roscioli Bonczyk, 80, formerly of Elton Avenue, entered into eternal rest on Saturday at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving daughter and her loving family.
Antoinette was born in Schenectady on June 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Matalda Benacquisto Roscioli. She was a 1949 graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Antoinette was a loving and friendly natured woman, she enjoyed working with people. Throughout her life she worked at the General Electric Company, Maurice's Catering, retired from the housekeeping department at the Glendale Home and then worked as a food demonstrator for Price Chopper Markets. Antoinette was one of the original members of Our Lady of Fatima Church on Rosa Road and volunteered her time and talent for many years to her parish. In her younger days she loved roller skating and later she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Antoinette was predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Bonczyk, Sr. whom she married August 26, 1951 and who died on August 15, 2001; her loving son, Steven Bonczyk, Jr., and siblings Rocco Roscioli and his wife Elvira, Elsie DeMasi and her husband James, Angelina Reali and her husband William and Louis Roscioli and his wife Ellen.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Donna Hutchinson, of Schenectady, Tina M. Williams and her husband Donnie, of Glenville and Audrey Bonczyk, of Scotia; cherished grandchildren, Matthew Hutchinson, Anthony J. Longo, Avé M. Williams and Derek Bonczyk; loving twin sister Felecia Messineo, of Ballston Lake and many loving nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Thursday at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street and then to Immaculate Conception Church, Glenville where a mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Antoinette's memory to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
