VESTAL, NY – Anthony L. Patriarca, 90, formerly of Cheltingham Avenue, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.
Tony was born in Schenectady on August 25, 1921 a son of the late Joseph and Lucy Fusco Patriarca. As a young man, Tony learned and mastered the welding trade. He was employed as a welder/pipefitter for the Local # 7 Union in Latham, retiring in 1986. During WWII he labored at the Electric Boat in CT, manufacturing landing crafts for the war effort. Tony was a giving selfless man with a great sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Edna Stipano Patriarca; loving daughter Bernadette M. Lombardi and sisters, Louise Pedinotti and Mary Tannatta.
He is survived by his devoted son-in-law, Michael P. Lombardi, of Vestal, NY and cherished grandson Michael Anthony Lombardi; sisters, Mildred 'Millie' Caracciolo and Vera Basile; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday morning at 8:30am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street, then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Saturday morning from 7:30 until 8:30 am.
