SCHENECTADY – Anna Perretta, 94, formerly of Sheridan Village, died Tuesday at Baptist Retirement Center.
Anna was born in Schenectady, daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena Montone Giuliano. She attended the Nott Street School and was employed at the American Laundry on lower State Street and then the Drive-in Dry Cleaners on State Street which she owned and operated with her husband. She was a homemaker, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great-great grandmother. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church and St. Paul the Apostle Church.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Mario Perretta whom she married June 5, 1938 and he died on February 2, 1982.
She is the mother of Charlotte Landolfo and her second daughter Pat Tenace both of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Sheri (Jim) Myers; Robin (Perry) Milliman; Anthony (Carol) Landolfo; John (Julie) Landolfo; Angela Tenace and Tari Tenace; great grandchildren, Dennis Dantz; Amanda Voorheis; Joshua Myers; Joseph Notar; Matthew Milliman; Corey Milliman; Elizabeth Landolfo; Joshua Kruk and Anna Sofia Landolfo; great-great grandchildren, Jonathan Dantz and Adison Varnish. She was the sister of the late Angie Calarco; Margaret D’Alessandro; Viola Laurenty; Charles Giuliano and Mimi Giuliano as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 8 AM from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at North Jay Streets, and then to St. Paul the Apostle Church, Albany Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
