Angela N. Wade

GLENVILLE- Angela N. Wade, of Heritage Arms Apartments, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
Angela was born on December 26, 1926, the daughter of Angelo and Felippa (Conti) Messina and raised by her foster parents Vincenzo and Nunziata Emmi. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and a lifelong Schenectady resident. She was employed briefly at the General Electric Company and for many years at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Luke's Church, a member of the Rosary Society, and a Hall of Fame Inductee at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons.
Angela was happy, joyous, and a giving person who loved her family, holidays, and spending her summers at the family camp in Lake Luzerne. She was an avid NY Yankee fan and enjoyed watching the games with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Wade in 2005; brothers, Joe Messina and Tony Messina, and a sister, Rose Ottaviano. She is survived by her beloved children, Stephen Wade, John Wade and his wife Mary Ann, Thomas Wade, Beth Seber, and Christopher Wade and his wife Pati; grandchildren, Brendon (Lysa), Nathaniel (Kristen), Sean, Alyson, Andrea, and Nicole Wade, Meredith (Kevin) Howard, Ryan and Morgan Seber; sisters, Margaret Krone, Ida Dobies, Carmella Smart, Helen Brauner, Mary Valente, and Angela Emmi; brothers, Charles Emmi and Joseph (Jean) Emmi; great grandchildren, Jared, Kaydence, and Benjamin Wade, and Nolan Howard.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 9 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street and then to St. Luke's Church, State Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Friday evening from 4 to 8 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Angela's memory to St. Luke's Church, 1241 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304.
