Andrea A. Ferraro Mossa

NISKAYUNA – Andrea A. Ferraro Mossa, 70, of Niskayuna passed away on Monday at Ellis Hospital, after a brief illness.
Andrea was born in Schenectady on April 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Antoinette Leonetti Ferraro. She attended local schools and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a telephone operator and payroll clerk for AT&T, retiring after 26 years of service. Andrea was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart League, the Venerini Associates and the Telephone Pioneers.
Her family and especially the love of her grandchildren were her main focus. She loved doing her crafts, especially quilting, cross-stitching and crocheting.
Andrea was predeceased in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Mossa.
Survivors include her loving children, Joanne Becker and her husband Glen, of Glenville; Joseph Mossa and his wife Pat, of Melbourne, FL; her adoring sisters, Mary Ann and the late Joe Tabone, of East Greenbush, Patricia and Bob Flynt, of Colonie; brothers, Tony and Maria Ferraro and Bob and Mary Ann Ferraro, all of Schenectady; adoring grandchildren, Adam Becker, Adina Mossa and Lydia Mossa; great-grandchildren, Ethan Mossa and Seth Mossa; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Friday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street, and then to St. Anthony’s Church, 331 Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 8:45 am. Entombment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Andrea’s memory to St. Anthony’s Church.
