SCHENECTADY – Andrea L. Callahan, 56, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Ellis Hospital due to complications from COVID.
Andrea was born on August 13, 1965, in Saratoga Springs, a daughter of Robert H. and Patricia Ann Davis Muir, Sr. She was a graduate of Linton High School and worked as a forklift operator for Golub Corporation. Although Andrea never had a driver’s license, she drove her forklift like she was at the Indy 500. Andrea was an amazing wife, mother and sister who gave selflessly to others. She worked hard and provided her family with love, compassion, and faith. Andrea loved all of God’s creatures; she was a hard worker, devout Christian, and a Kettle Ringer during the Holidays for the Salvation Army.
Andrea is survived by her beloved husband Arnold W. Callahan, Jr., whom she married on April 5, 1986; loving sons, Arnold W. Callahan III, Frank R. Callahan (Daniele), Jeremy M. Callahan (Aelicia Gilston), and Bradley D. Callahan (Samantha Rizzo); siblings, Rob Muir Jr. (Chrystal), Lori Bosco, Brian Muir, Nancy Deere (Al), Scott Muir (Renee), Jonathan Muir (Dianne Schortemeyer); nieces and nephews Amber, Ashley, Tiffany, Rachel, Derick, Brandon, and Hunter; Grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylee and Dylan Callahan; Great Granddaughter, Arya.
Services will be held on Thursday at 7 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
