GLENVILLE- Amelia 'Molly' Cercone, entered into eternal rest on Sunday at Ellis Hospital, after a short illness.
Molly was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Isabella Caracciolo. She graduated from the former Nott Terrace High School and earned a degree from Spencer Business School. Molly worked for the Tax Compliance Division of NYS Department of Taxation & Finance, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. Molly was involved in many community activities. She enjoyed cooking, home decorating and shopping. She loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Molly will be remembered for her outgoing personality and smile. She will be greatly missed.
Molly was predeceased by her siblings; Frank Caracciolo, Connie Hilton and Louis Caracciolo.
She is survived by her beloved husband Raymond Cercone; loving children, Anthony 'Jay' Longe and his wife Gina, of Colonie and Gail White and her husband Monte, of Hainesport, NJ; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Elsie Tebbano and John Caracciolo, both of Schenectady
Services will be held Thursday morning at 9 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 pm.
