ROTTERDAM - Allen J. Graves, 40, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital, embraced by the love of those who meant the most to him.
Allen was born on January 15, 1986, at Bellevue Hospital in Niskayuna; Allen was the son of George Graves and Sherrie Seastrand. He attended Mohonasen High School.
Allen worked as a finish carpenter and was known for his exceptional craftsmanship. A talented sheetrock installer, he took great pride in his work and had the ability to build just about anything. Carpentry was not only his profession but also his greatest passion.
When he wasn't working, Allen enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman who appreciated everything nature had to offer. He also enjoyed gathering with family and friends and was often the one who brought laughter and energy to any occasion.
Allen will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to lend a hand, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew him.
Allen was predeceased by a brother, George A. Graves, Jr.; grandparents, Louise (Leland) Civitello Seastrand and Shirley Graves; a niece, Makayla Graves.
He is survived by his loving family; daughters, Destiny Graves and Journey Graves; mother Sherrie (Bernard) Torres; father, George Graves, Sr.; siblings, Shelly Graves, James (Jennifer) Graves, Ciara James, Leland Savage and Mercedes (Gabriel) Torres; former wife, Ashley Graves; nieces and nephews, Kaleen Morehouse, Summer Lewis, Isabella Graves, Rylie Graves, Dominic James, Nico Graves, Oaklynn Torres-Slattery, Lucca Graves, Mateo Torres-Slattery, Veralee Devine; Godparents, Christine Spooner and Kenneth West, Sr., many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends also survive.
Services will be held at a date to be announced.
