Ocala Florida - Agnesa DiCocco Fraioli, 90, passed away peacefully Friday,
February 23, 2024, while at home in the loving care of her son Bernardo, JoAnn and friends.
Agnesa was born May 6, 1933, in Fontechiari, Italy, the daughter of the late Onorio and Ernestina DiCocco. She was born 6th of their 7 children. In her early 20's Agnesa followed her brother to France where she met her husband, Salvatore Fraioli. They farmed and raised their four children there
until following family to the United States in 1972. Residence was established with her little sister’s family in Schenectady until achieving the American dream of home ownership. While raising her family Agnesa worked hard at Ellis Hospital and then Union College in housekeeping where she was able to
retire. Glenville became home in the early 90’s. She was an amazing gardener and cook. Her crispelle, sauce, and fresh bread were especially enjoyed. She also enjoyed singing.
Agnesa was always a DiCocco at heart and parted ways from Salvatore in 2013. She found joyful living on her own in her Glenville apartment. She frequented the Glenville Sr. Ctr. where she found many friends, enjoyed lunch, and could be heard calling BINGO! She could also be seen at her grandchildren’s events and at the Church of Immaculate Conception on Sundays. In 2019 Agnesa joined her
son Bernardo in Ocala to escape the cold and live in his care. She made many friends there.
In addition to her parents, Agnesa was also predeceased by her beloved daughter and son-in-law Romanina and Rocky Palma, and her siblings Antonia Perruzza, Pietro DiCocco, Dora DiCocco, Carolina Frisone, Rosa DiCocco and Domenica DiCocco.
She is survived by her sister-in-law and friend Iolanda DiCocco and children Bernardo Fraioli (JoAnn), Elio Fraioli (Denise), and Tonino Fraioli, grandchildren: Rita Casasola (Rafael), Angela D’Ercole
(Palma), Rocky Palma, Salvatore Fraioli (Carolyn), Luciano Fraioli (Katie), Veronica Fraioli, Ciarra Fraioli, and Michael Fraioli, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Hospice and her circle
of friends in Oak Run for assisting in her care during her final weeks.
Services will be held on Friday at 9 am, from Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, then to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glenville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
