Adelia A Bucci

SCHENECTADY – Adelia A. Bucci, 89, formerly of Park Place, entered into the Kingdom of the Lord on Thursday at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
Ms. Bucci was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia Antinone Bucci. Adelia was a pioneer of her day, graduating in 1940 from Nott Terrace High School; Albany Teachers College in 1944 with a Bachelor's degree and in 1950 obtaining her Master's degree in Business Education. She taught business education for many years, at Camden Central School, Saratoga High School, Nott Terrace and Linton High Schools. Adelia took an active roll in school spirit, she was the Social Dean in 1957, 1960 and 1963, she coached cheerleading and was an advisor for the yearbook and Foreign Exchange Program. She devoted her time and efforts to the community, collecting for the March of Dimes, and as a member of many teachers associations. She was a lifelong communicant of her beloved St. Anthony's Church, a member of the Sacred Heart League, an annual festa worker and a homebound minister.
She was predeceased by her loving siblings, Ida Paolucci, Mary Bucci and Eugene Bucci.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her nephew, Joseph G. Paolucci and his wife Denise of Rotterdam; many adoring grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Friday morning at 9 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place where a Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in the Bucci family plot in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Adelia's memory to The Hospice Inn, 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
