Addolorata 'Dolores' Bucci

SCHENECTADY – Addolorata 'Dolores' Bucci, 97, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
Dolores was born in Alife, Province of Caserta, Italy a daughter of the late Crescenzo and Felicia Bucci Petraccione. Dolores, with her three young daughters, immigrated, to the United States in May of 1956, to be reuniting with her husband and son. She worked for American Laundry and then at Ellis Hospital, for 25 years retiring in 1978. She was loving and devoted to her family, friends and her faith.
Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Federico Bucci, whom were married November 29, 1934; son-in-law, Marco Caracciolo, daughter-in-law, Sandra Bucci; brothers, Pasquale, Domenico and Crescenzo Petraccione and her sisters, Marietta DelBasso and Giovannina Raccio.
Dolores is survived by her devoted and loving children, Peter Bucci, of Rotterdam, Felicia Bucci DeMarco and her husband Paul and Maria Bucci Caracciolo, all of Schenectady, JoAnn Bucci Capobianco and her husband Maurizio, of Boyton Beach, FL and Anna Bucci Zarrillo and her husband Tony, of Rotterdam; sisters, Antoinetta DelBasi, Alfonsina and Filomena Petraccione; Rosa Rossi, of Alvigano, whom Dolores nurtured as a baby; twelve grand children, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The Bucci family is eternally grateful to Sr. Maria Rosa Querini for her compassion and weekly visits and Community Hospice, for the many hours spent caring for our Mom.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 12 noon. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 7 pm.
