Rose was born in Schenectady on September 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Angelo and Carolina Angiolina Farina. She attended Schenectady schools and was a member of the 1940 graduating class of Nott Terrace high School. Rose worked for the General Electric Company as a secretary. She and her husband, Stanley, whom she met at GE, were married May 9, 1943. Her son predeceased her in 1978, while he was a student at the University of Michigan Law School. Rose later in life worked for the National Cigar Corporation. She was a member of her children's school PTA and a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church. She was a proud and supportive mother and grandmother, taking such loving pride in her family's accomplishments. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Dombkowski; her son Brian Dombkowski and her siblings, Carmella Dale and Asunta (Susie) Monticolo. Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Denise Dombkowski Hopkins, of Montgomery Village, MD; her adoring grandchildren, Brian D. Hopkins, of Alexandria, VA and Ariel E. Hopkins, of Washington, DC. Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets with the Rev. Richard A. Carlino, officiating.
