MaryAnn Guerrera Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

SCHENECTADY – MaryAnn Guerrera, 67, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family. MaryAnn was born in Niskayuna, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Rea Guerrera. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and received her Associate's Degree from SCCC in computer science. MaryAnn worked as a home health aide for 35 years, 12 of which she cared for her grandmother. She was a kind, and generous soul, who cared for and treated everyone with compassion and respect. MaryAnn is survived by her loving daughter, Sarah Perretta; adoring grandchildren, Madison Perretta, Ian Perretta, Matthew Duquette, Lily Duquette, and their father, Michael Duquette; a sister, Angela Gizzi, brothers, Anthony ‘Sonny’ Guerrera, Sr., and Jerry Stanley; nieces and nephew, Tamara and Melanie Gizzi, Jeaneen DePiero, and Anthony Guerrera, Jr., great-nieces and nephews, Kye and Landen Callahan, Gabriella and Guillian DePiero and Paulie LaFond; an aunt, Angie Ehlers; and several cousins. A special thank you to the members of the Famiano family; Susan Jansen; the Maharaj family, and Lou Benaquisto. Services will be held on Thursday, at 1 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, with Fr. Dominic Isopo, officiating. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 5 to 8.
